VIRGIL H. McCOY
Virgil H. McCoy, 81, passed away Tuesday, September 09, 2008 at his residence.
Virgil was born July 13, 1927 in Pine Grove, WV. He was employed for 37 years at U.S. Steel as a Crane Operator, Roller and Heater.
He is survived by his two daughters, Wanda L. (David) Pitts-Woody and Mary J. (James) Michaels; five sons, Virgil E. (Marge), Larry W. (Ruth), Michael S., Gregory A. and Terry Lee (Barbara) McCoy; 1 granddaughter, Dreamelee Lute and 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren.
Virgil was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Mary (nee: Dunn) McCoy; and brother Dale (Ruby-living) McCoy of Gallipolis, OH.
The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home, 2150 Broadway, Lorain, (440) 244-1961on Thursday, September, 11, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
A graveside service will be held 10 AM, Monday, September 15, 2008 at Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, 44805 North Ridge Rd., Amherst Twp (please meet at Bell Tower located at main entrance of cemetery).
Memorial donations may be made to Harbinger Hospice, 1119 Bassett Rd, Westlake, OH 44145.
