ROBERT L. PRICE
Robert L. Price, age 79, of Elyria, passed away Friday, February 15, 2998, at the Five Star Adult Home, Avon Lake, following a long illness.
Born in Lorain, he grew up in Avon Lake where he graduated High School in 1946. He was a resident of Elyria for the past 18 years moving from North Ridgeville, where he lived for most of his life.
He served in the US Army from 1946-1950. Mr. Price worked as a pipefitter for 40 years retiring in 1990. He was a member of Pipefitters Union Local 120 and enjoyed boating, fishing and his pet dog “Smooch”.
Survivors include his son, Gregory Price of Elyria; daughter, Robin Newhart of Parkersburg, West Virginia; grandchildren, Andy and Hannah Newhart also of Parkersburg, West Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Blanche Price; sister, Phyllis McCowan; brothers, George and M.C. Price.
Friends may call Monday from 5-7PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Services will be held 1 PM Tuesday in the funeral home. Reverend Paul Oberhaus, Pastor of Shepherd of the Ridge Lutheran church will officiate. Burial will follow in Sugar Ridge Cemetery, North Ridgeville.
