ANNE IRENE YACOBOZZI

Anne Irene (nee: Toth) Yacobozzi, 88, passed away after a brief illness on October 11, 2009 at Community Health Partners, Lorain.

Anne was born on December 17, 1920 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was a life long resident of Amherst, Ohio. Anne was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Lorain and was a member of the Holy Name Society. She attended Holy Trinity as a young girl and graduated from Lorain High School. She was a seamstress at S.W. Weitz Company in Lorain, Ohio. Anne was recognized with honor for her special commitment to helping those in need through her work with Catholic Charities. She was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians, the Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State Buckeyes. She loved to bake and cook for her family. She was loving, devoted and selfless.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Vincent G. Yacobozzi; daughter, Candita (Craig) Trott of Columbus, Ohio; sons, Dennis (Marty) of Westerville, Ohio, Kenneth (Ellen) of Grafton, Ohio and Ronald (Natalie) of Amherst Township, Ohio; grandsons, Denny (Eleana) Yacobozzi, Dominic Yacobozzi, Matthew Yacobozzi, Christopher (Connie) Yacobozzi, Anthony Yacobozzi, Nicholas Yacobozzi and Nathan Shubick; sisters, Agnes Ralich and Helen Vasiloff; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Mary (nee: Demko) Toth; sister, Mary Hreha; twin brother, Mike Toth; and brothers, Andrew Toth and John Toth.

The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home, 2150 Broadway, Lorain (440) 244-1961 on Thursday, October 15, 2009 from1-8 PM. A Rosary service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 7:30 PM by St. Peter Church Holy Name Society. Closing prayers will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 9:20 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, October 16, 2009 at St. Peter Church, 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain, Fr. Chuck Henkle, O.F.M., Conv., officiating. Entombment will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter Church Capital Campaign, 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain, OH 44053.
