JOSEPHINE L. BOYLE

Lorain- Josephine L. Boyle, 80, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2009. She was born March 6, 1929 in Cleveland, OH to Joseph and FrannieWendrowicz. She graduated from Lorain High School in 1947 and was employed by the Lorain Board of Education and retired in May of 1994. She enjoyed spending time with her children and granddaughter. Josephine is survived by her daughter, Karen Boyle of Annapolis, MD; her sons, Mark (Sue) Boyle of Lorain and Kevin (Debbie) Boyle of Lorain; and granddaughter Rachel Boyle of Lorain. Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; and sister, Helen Barson.

A Memorial Service will be held at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home, 2150 Broadway, Lorain, (440) 244-1961 at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, May 30, 2009, Fr. Joseph West O.F.M. Conv., officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.

GEORGE C. RENNER SR.

George C. Renner Sr., 79, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 10, 2009 at New Life Hospice of St. Joseph. He was born July 25, 1929 in Warren, OH and was raised in Everson, PA. He has resided in Lorain for the past 54 years. Mr. Renner served in the Army during the Korean War and was employed by B.F. Goodrich in Avon Lake for 38 years until his retirement in 1992. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed sports and spending time with his family. He was a long-time member of the Lorain United Polish Club, a life-time member of the Everson VFW and belonged to the American Legion and the Amherst Eagles.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy (nee: Miceli); daughters, Susan (Charles) Stang of Columbus and Patricia of Lorain; son, George Jr. (Mary) of Lorain; granddaughters, Jordan and Meredith Stang of Columbus; and sister, Catherine Firlik of Dearborn, MI.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mildred Renner of Everson, PA.

The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home, 2150 Broadway, Lorain (440) 244-1961 on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Prayers will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 9:20 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at Nativity BVM Church, 418 West 15th Street, Lorain, Father Robert Glepko, Pastor, officiating. Burial services will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain, where military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 30 and VFW Post 451.

DIANE M. EADS

Diane M. Eads (nee: Richards), 57, lost her year long battle with cancer on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at New Life Hospice of St. Joseph in Lorain.

She was born October 11, 1951 in Fairmont, WV and moved to Lorain in 1954.

Diane enjoyed riding Harley’s, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Loving wife of forty years to Robert C. Eads; beloved mother of two sons, Mason C. Crowe Jr. of Malabar, FL and Robert C. Eads Jr. of Lorain; two daughters, Tammy J. Stinson of Elyria and Brandee Moon of Lorain; Doting grandmother of 17; sister to Alice (Alley) Sheetz of Hammond, IN; Arthur (Bug) Richards of Sanford, FL; and “MOM” to many.

She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Richards; mother, Lenora (nee: Johnson); sister Elma (Tiny) Gorbey; and brother, Daniel Paul Richards.

The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home, 2150 Broadway, Lorain (440) 244-1961 on Sunday, May 10, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, May 11, 2009 at the funeral home.

IMOGENE DARMON

Imogene Damron (nee: Estep), 78, passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, April 30, 2009.

Imogene was born August 30, 1930 in Pikeville, KY, a daughter of Jack and Elizabeth (nee: Castle) Estep. She was raised in Kentucky and moved to Lorain in 1952. She worked for Lorain Towel Supply and St. Joseph Hospital. She was a Cleveland Indians fan, enjoyed gambling excursions and loved to entertain friends and relatives.

Imogene is survived by her sons, Danny Damron of Lorain and Michael (Lois) Damron of Elyria; grandchildren, Douglas (Kim) of Loveland, OH, David (Jennifer) of Kent, OH, Brady of Marysville, OH and Lindsey of Elyria, OH; and great grandchildren, Wesley and Clayton of Loveland, OH.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Jack Damron; and her sisters, Midge Pruit, Daphene Hall and Joan Vanover.

The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home, 2150 Broadway, Lorain, (440) 244-1961 on Sunday, May 3, 2009 from 3-7 PM.

A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home at 11 AM on Monday, May 4, 2009, Rev. Evelyn Bonnel, officiating. Burial services will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
